Leiite - Martin Luther King Jr. 2.0

Leiite - How To Be An Upstander

How to be an Upstander. A Upstander is someone who recognizes when something is wrong and acts to make it right, when someone is standing up for something that is right and do our best to help support and protect the person who is hurt. Nelson Mandela is a good Upstander because of what he did for everyone in Africa, Martin Luther King Jr is another great Upstander because he did the same thing like what Nelson Mandela did tried to get all racism to an end.

Martin  Luther King Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement from 1954 until his death in 1968. Born in Atlanta, King is best known for advancing civil rights through nonviolence and civil disobedience, tactics his Christian beliefs and the nonviolent activism of Mahatma Gandhi helped inspire. While others were advocating for freedom by “any means necessary,” including violence, Martin Luther King, Jr. used the power of words and acts of nonviolent resistance, such as protests, grassroots organizing, and civil disobedience to achieve seemingly-impossible goals.

Rolihlahla Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in Mvezo, South Africa. He got the nickname Nelson from a teacher in school. Nelson was a member of Thimphu royalty and his father was chief of the city of Mvezo. Nelson Mandela tried to prove to everyone in the world that brown people are equal to white people. Yes some brown people faster or smarter then some white people or white people are faster and smarter than some brown people but that doesn't mean that white people are better than brown people or brown people are better than white people. Because Nelson Mandela tried to prove that brown people and white people are the same that just got himself into prison for the next 27 years. He just really wanted all people of all races to have equal rights in South Africa. His prison sentence brought international visibility to the anti-apartheid movement, he was finally released through international pressure in 1990. When he got released everyone in South Africa decided to make Nelson Mandela the president of South Africa because of what he did, why he did it, and for who he did it for. So like back in those days if a white female married a brown male they would end up in prison or if a brown female married a white male would of ended up into prison (It’s just the other way around). All the white people had the most better jobs and had more money. All brown people had the most worst jobs and had less money, everyone is equal no one is better than the other person. Different skin color different centre doesn’t mean that your better than the other person. Everyone is equal.

Leiite - My Life

Hi my name is Leiite I really like rugby and play for school in
under 68 kgs. I am also looking for a club to play in I am currently
playing for marist and also for fiafia I was in the samoan group
trying to do my culture proud.

Well with all that out of the way my life in the past is not really
interesting I broke my arm like about four or five times, I grew up
in a little neighborhood grew up with a lot of friends and family
nothing really sad or interesting in my life.

I just want to be the one person everyone wants to be when they
grow up a health, caring, helpful, funny, nice, and respectful person.
I’m not perfect nobody is perfect but you can be that one person
you really want to be in your life, like just be the change you want
to see in the world.

I use to just go play outside but now I just play inside on my PS4
or with my brothers I think staying inside helped me to be a better
boy, my father once said “Make today so AWESOME yesterday
will get jealous you have to start with respect”.

By staying inside the house and playing here helped my a lot
when I played outside I use to always get in trouble with like the
police but it was never me it was the people who I was around
or playing with. My brother started letting me play on his PS4
and I enjoyed it so I stayed in more and played more I did read,
writing and doing my maths my brother said to be “Until I get my
own PS4” I could play on his one, but I finally learned how to
forgive myself for all the bad things I’ve had done in the past.
